Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Think Battle collects, why, and what you can do with it. Think Battle is a multiplayer quiz game for phones and tablets, with an online server for matches.
What we collect
- Account: email address, a password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text), display name, optional gender, optional profile photo, and your question and interface language.
- Gameplay: match results, scores, answers within a match, match history, leaderboard standings, friend requests and friendships, room invitations and in-app notifications.
- On your device: a cache of quiz questions, a queue of results waiting to sync when you are offline, your sign-in tokens, and your sound and haptics settings.
- Technical: server logs that include IP addresses and request times, used to keep the service running and to limit abuse.
Why we use it
- To run the game: sign-in, matches, leaderboards, friends, invitations and offline play.
- To send one-time codes by email for password reset and email change.
- To prevent cheating, abuse and automated attacks, for example through rate limits.
The app does not use advertising, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not sell your data.
Who can see your information
- Other players can see your display name, profile photo, gender, standing, stats and match results. Your email address is not shown to other players.
- Service providers that host the server and database, and an email provider that delivers codes, process data only to provide the service.
- We may disclose data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Results from past matches stay so other players keep their scores, but they are no longer linked to you (see deletion below).
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app: Profile, Delete account. You must enter your password to confirm. Deletion immediately removes your account, sign-in sessions, friendships, notifications, pending codes, saved presets and profile photo. Past matches and leaderboard entries remain, but they are detached from your account and shown as "Deleted player". Matches that you hosted are removed along with your account.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile, change your password and email, and delete your account in the app. For other requests, such as a copy of your data, contact us at abdulla.mahfood@gmail.com.
Security
Traffic to the service is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
